Mitel - Inter-Tel Axxess

The Inter-Tel Axxess Communications platform is an open architecture software based system designed to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes. The range of applications available on the Axxess helps users maximise the competitive advantage today's technology can offer. The Axxess system can be configured for users who require less than 32 extensions through to upwards of 30,000 extensions seamlessly networking up to 63 unique locations.

A range of sophisticated and yet user friendly management tools are available to help users maximise the integration of the system into the company's business processes.

These tools include a network management device which enables a single administrator to control and update a complex network of Axxess systems spread across the country or continent. Additionally, the open architecture system toolkit optionally enables software suppliers to write their own 'middleware' so that voice and data may work together to increase the efficiencies in terms of telephone response times.

Mitel announce their phased retirement program for the award winning Axxess communications platform.

How does this effect you?

  • July 31st is important if you are planning any system software upgrades or expansion in the near future, as Mitel will not be accepting new orders for these components beyond this date. An upgrade to the latest software, Version 11, will protect your investment until 2014.

  • In summary, Maintenance and support of the Inter-Tel Axxess will continue and T2k always carry a significant amount of Axxess parts in stock and will continue supporting your system beyond this date.

  • There is no need to be alarmed. The implications of the Inter-Tel Axxess retirement programme are manageable and will vary dependent upon your system age, software level and expansion plans. A simple, cost effective upgrade to the latest version 11 will provide peace of mind and continuity for at least the next 5 years.
